Monsoon Research

1. Monsoons occur most commonly in India. they span across all of india to the Thar desert. Monsoons occur because the himalayas form a barrier that doesn't let the moisture rich air pass. thus causing extremely heavy rainfall in the summer months.

3. Multiple methods can be used to predict monsoons. the first method is to measure ocean temperature in the surrounding areas. the second method is considered to be more accurate. It is a reading of the atmospheric pressure around the himalayan mountains.

4. The People of india have addapted to monsoons. They are used for irragation and are relied on annually. Alot of Indias electricity is generated by monsoon rains through hydro electricity.

5. In india monsoons are so depended upon and have such a regular timing that it is not worth a warning when they are coming. its actually the opposite. A warning is sent out to farming communities through certain organizations when a monsoon isnt coming or when predicted rainfall is going to be insufficeint to irrigate their crops.
